Every 6-7 months I try to get photos taken of my children. To some, this probably seems excessive. I admit that photos are a lot of work and often times stressful, but for me they are extremely valuable. I am pretty sure they are my love language haha. I am super grateful Chris is supportive with this because he knows how much it means to me. I think kids change so much throughout the year and I really try to do my best with documenting them with my phone but there is just something to be said about hiring a professional. I am always glad when I do!
A few things about Nora at 2 years old.
Nora loves to sing and dance. She loves to give hugs and gives kisses by bending toward you and offering her forehead haha. She likes to say "Sorry Mama" pretty regularly, even if she didn't do anything wrong. She is learning her numbers and letters (thanks to her big brothers influence). She LOVES her "night night" (blanket) and her "pee-pah" (Blabla Doll named Lily Pop, which she cannot pronounce). Speaking of mis-pronouncing, Nora is speaking great (as far as effort and picking up on new things) but I swear the LANGUAGE she speaks isn't English, haha. She has her own language and if you don't speak it you might never know what she is asking for "baple!" is apple, "ICK!" is Mickey, etc. It's truly adorable and I will miss it when she grows out of it. She is quite charming when she wants to be, snuggles and loves on me frequently, and LOVES to cuddle on the couch. But just like every other two year old, she can be feisty! She has a strong will and can be quite vocal about her feelings if you know what I mean. She is starting to be able to hold her own with William, as they figure out the ever so delicate balance of sharing haha. I love watching her little personality develop- she is fearless (careless? ha!), obedient (unless it's time to change her diaper), loves to show off (and will shush you if you try to join in the singing or ask you to sit if you join in the performance), and she is just all around ADORABLE at this stage. I love all of her quirks and how she can't give a "thumbs up" without pointing her index finger, making her "thumbs up" more of a "gun"- that just cracks me up and I'm always asking her to do it because I find it so freaking cute. She sleeps great, loves to nap, loves to jump like a wild animal in her crib, loves stories and frequently SHOUTS when she knows whats coming. She is dying to go to school and envies William every single day. Her favorite foods are first and foremost- APPLES, then berries, then eggs, then crackers ("crackies!!", then "BARS!" -fruit bars or granola bars, etc. She doesn't love meat (tho I can get her to eat the chicken in chicken noodle soup) and isn't willing to try ANY vegetables (so I put them in green smoothies). She is our sweet little lady and every single day with her is full of adventure. She can be hard and crazy and make me want to pull my hair out sometimes- I mean, life isn't perfect haha! But she is 1000x sweeter than she is sour and she is my little girlfriend. I know I say it all of the time, but as terrified as I was when I found out I was expecting her so close to William, I am SO HAPPY she came when she did. Her timing was perfect. I can't believe she turned 2 this summer (and that I am so late to getting her photos and update documented.). Love my sweet baby so much.
